This is no longer needed since the introduction of bin/doctor.rb.

Bring back a hand-rolled GNU Emacs configuration, moving on from Doom
Emacs. This is due some recent regressions I've had with my Doom
configuration that I was unable to debug/fix.
This brings back some much needed simplicity, while having better
knowledge on how to keep things modern and snappy.

I have migrated to XDG directories quite some time ago, but the
install.sh script was not reflecting this yet. Hence: .emacs.d ->
.config/emacs and .doom.d -> .config/doom.
Moreover, I'm no longer using i3, so I have removed it from the default
install.

After trying up this whole thing on a fresh VM I got into a lot of old
stuff that needed some updating (e.g. GNU Emacs' configuration which is
now handled through Doom).
Other than that, I have also added a few goodies when I'm using this on
a VM, like a proper size for the TTY.

This simple script checks for unexpectedly broken symlinks in a given
directory ($HOME by default). This is useful because, as I've sadly detected, I
had some relevant files that were not actually symlinked and some things utterly
failed.

In particular, abbrevs.el and early-init.el also need to be symlinked upon installation.

I have slightly different configurations on my workstation and on my laptop, so
don't blindly link them.

This is a shortcut to be used for reaching out to the default editor from the
CLI. Notice that it also handles the root user.

I've created a special emacsclient-a-nw executable script which should suffice
for places like the gitconfig or bashrc. The good thing about having emacsclient
as the default editor, is that then you gain Magit, for example, when writing
`git commit`.

I'm using ERC now. Moreover, I've also moved the main README from
markdown to orgmode.
