* config: add the balena etcher handler schemeMiquel Sabaté Solà2026-02-261-0/+1
| | | | | | Because apparently that's a thing now. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>
* ghostty: don't touch the titleMiquel Sabaté Solà2026-02-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Even if it's a nice feature to allow applications to write to it, this also means to do this for stupid executions like "ls", and that's just plain distracting and not worth it. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>

| | | | | | I have never really used it, so let's remove some noise. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>
* emacs: avoid adding Makefile projectsMiquel Sabaté Solà2026-02-101-4/+3
| | | | | | | | In projects like Linux this turns out to be troublesome as each subsystem has its own Makefile and then tools like ripgrep narrow down their focus too much when trying to perform Linux-wide searches. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>
* emacs: do not delete sent messages on mailbox.orgMiquel Sabaté Solà2026-01-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since GMail copies email to the Sent folder regardless of your mu4e settings, it's usually recommended to configure mu4e sent's behavior to 'delete (thus avoiding duplicate sent messages). But I had sadly copy/pasted the same configuration from GMail into my mailbox settings, where this automatic copying of sent messages does not happen. This went unnoticed because I've sent email from this account mainly to the Linux kernel mailing lists, where you receive a copy from the thread anyways and that wasn't much of a problem. But after noticing a couple of missing sent email, and after some head scratching, I've found the 'delete behavior and reverted to good ol' 'sent. * emacs: update dependenciesMiquel Sabaté Solà2025-10-271-34/+35
| | | | | | | After a couple of days of testing with this general update, everything seems fine. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>
* kbuild: move profiles into .config/kbuildMiquel Sabaté Solà2025-10-242-0/+120
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of inlining shell scripts inside of the `kbuild` one, move them into subdirectories inside of the new $HOME/.config/kbuild directory. Each subdirectory will match a profile (i.e. no more hacky hardcoded values on `kbuild`), and it will contain the relevant install.sh/uninstall.sh files which matter for that profile. This also allows us more flexibility when it comes to GRUB configuration (e.g. picking the right UUID value without having to re-invent the wheel via esoteric new parameters). * emacs: enforce the fill-column value to 75 on gitMiquel Sabaté Solà2025-10-211-1/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | Magit will already default to 75, but set the `git-commit-fill-column' variable just to be safe. Moreover, when editing patch/diff files manually (e.g. editing a cover letter in the context of 'git format-patch --cover-letter'), these rules should also apply. Hence, set 'fill-column' locally to 75 as well. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>
* emacs: prefer emails in plain textMiquel Sabaté Solà2025-10-211-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | Force email apps in GNU Emacs (i.e. mu4e) to "discourage" formats like "text/html" or "text/richtext". This in practice forces email apps to use "text/plain" by default, which is nicer looking in most cases, and I can always switch back to HTML whenever that is not the case. * emacs: Make "Inbox" a favorite bookmarkMiquel Sabaté Solà2025-10-101-7/+8
| | | | | | | | | | Apparently default notifications expect a favorite to be picked among bookmarks. If not, then it picks the one at top, which is basically the last one that was added by the user. Hence, define this bookmark last just so it appears at the top of the main view, and also mark it as "favorite" to double down. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>
* emacs: Add setup for IRCMiquel Sabaté Solà2025-10-022-0/+35
| | | | | | | | Bring back the setup I had in the Doom Emacs days. Indeed I'm not using IRC that much, but the configuration is pretty reliable for whenever I need it. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>

* bin: Add 'fetch-email'Miquel Sabaté Solà2025-09-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This is a glorified bash one-liner for fetching my email by syncing each channel via GNU parallel. This speeds up a bit from the usual 'mbsync -a', even if it's not a miracle. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mssola@mssola.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | Bring back a hand-rolled GNU Emacs configuration, moving on from Doom Emacs. This is due some recent regressions I've had with my Doom configuration that I was unable to debug/fix. This brings back some much needed simplicity, while having better knowledge on how to keep things modern and snappy. Signed-off-by: Miquel Sabaté Solà <mikisabate@gmail.com>
